Overview:
GURUS were commissioned to create the companies first website. Working with a heritage brand and giving the existing business a new e-commerce channel was an exciting prospect.
Highlights:
Hawes & Curtis was established by Mr Ralph Hawes and Mr Freddie Curtis in 1913. Not only did Hawes and Curtis’ skill and taste define their distinguished clothes but it was their customers that established the brand and image over the next century. Hawes and Curtis created the spread collar to fit the unstructured tie for the then Duke of Windsor.
GURUS worked with the team at Hawes and Curtis and provided consultancy to get the company ready for its e-commerce debut. A product catalogue was digitised and stock codes created for use on the website.
An online payment service provider was chosen and the existing loyal customer base was contacted by creating an innovative newsletter campaign. The campaign was designed to encourage the user base to shop online and recommend the products to friends and family, and in return get discounts.
The website also offered existing corporate loyalty card customers the same savings online as they would get in store.
